Brand Identity and Brand Values for Music Magazine

My magazines an rnb/urban hip pop magazine, it will mostly feature and deal with modern male rnb/ urban hip pop artists, which will target towards young adults and teens of the age between 18- 34. This magazine will present the new and popular artists which means the layout and concept of the magazine will have to fit in the modern and sophisticated theme. The magazine is a magazine that has a clear and clean layout, and the main focus of the magazine is the main image. The style of the masthead is simple, modern and sophisticated which will goes well with the rnb/urban hip pop music genre. The style of the masthead is in serif font which makes the magazine come across less formal to the readers, this allows the audience to feel comfortable reading the magazine, and as its target audience is for young adults, the magazine has to be approachable and not seem too overpowering. This magazine may come across as mature and refined because it is a clean looking magazine. this may affect who finds it appealing to look at. as more mature people may find the front cover attractive.This magazine may appeal to men more than women as men are more likely to listen to this music genre. However, women are likely to find the magazine appealing as well. The magazine features a wide range of different things, other than music, such as interviews, television, reissues and films etc. interactive games will not be in the issue as this magazine is a magazine that I want to look high end and well put together, I think if there are games included inside it would look tacky. This carries on the ideology of the music magazine.  The common conventions of this magazine is that the masthead will always be at the top centre of the front cover as I want the masthead to be clear and visible as its important. Colour scheme of the magazine will be neutral or tone of colours that are light and calm. This avoids it being bold and daring as other magazines such as, Q. The colour scheme will be similar to the magazine dazed and confused or faded.  The layout and composition of the magazine is overall cultivated and cool toned.
